I started Watertales Studio back in 2024 on Etsy as a hobby, when I was feeling burnt out in my science career. I wanted something that was mine — something I could focus on that would quiet the worry over projects and deadlines that often crept in after I got home. A creative outlet that would balance out the rigidity that often comes with scientific work.

So I became a scientist by day and a creator by night. I started with stickers, hand-illustrating a lot of the designs myself and then handmaking them at home.  From there I moved into mystery bundles built around things I love: cats, holiday and seasonal spirit, aesthetic stationery. Every bundle is something I'd genuinely want to open myself.

I won't lie, it's a lot to balance sometimes — being a mom, a career, and this shop. But the orders, the kind comments on my videos and in reviews, and the friendships I've made with customers along the way bring me so much joy. Thank you for letting me have this little getaway that's completely my own. I hope something in my shop brings you at least a little bit of that same joy!
